Formal wear in Pakistan means embellished eastern outfits made for celebrations: wedding wear, party wear and festive wear. A typical set is a shirt, frock or maxi, a matching bottom and a dupatta, finished with embroidery such as tilla, sequins or pearls. It sits between two neighbours, and the table shows how they differ.

Most wedding guests shop in the formal middle. If you want something simpler for the office or daytime, see our casual collection.
Ready-to-wear, also called pret or readymade, means the outfit is cut, stitched and finished in standard sizes, so you wear it as it arrives. Unstitched fabric needs a tailor, which adds time and some guesswork about how the finished suit will look.
Choose stitched when the event is close, when you are ordering online and want to see the finished outfit, or when you simply don't want a tailor visit. Choose unstitched if you want a custom length or a made-to-measure fit.
The most popular choice for wedding functions. A 3-piece set normally includes a shirt, a bottom and a dupatta, and the product page lists exactly what comes in the set. The range runs from lighter chiffon and net suits to heavier paper katan, raw silk and chambray katan.
A long frock with a sharara or farshi shalwar is a classic wedding-guest outfit. The flare moves well at a mehndi and stays comfortable through a long dinner. See all frocks.
Floor-length maxis in organza, net and chambray katan suit receptions and walima evenings. Browse the full maxi and gown range.
A shirt and trouser in crepe silk is simpler to wear and pack. It suits engagements, dinners and Eid gatherings where a 3-piece would feel like too much.

If the hall is crowded and the event runs late, choose a light base fabric with heavy embroidery rather than a heavy fabric. If the venue is open-air in winter, raw silk or velvet is the safer pick.
Mehndi: Go bright and comfortable. Yellow, green, pink and orange are common, and a chiffon or organza frock with sharara lets you move freely.
Nikah: Keep it refined and modest. Full sleeves and softer shades such as pista, lilac or dusty pink work well in raw silk, chambray katan or chiffon.
Barat: Richer fabrics and heavier embroidery suit the main wedding day. Many families prefer guests to leave bridal red and white to the bride, so consider emerald, navy, plum or zinc.
Walima and reception: This is the time for maxis, net and organza in jewel tones or metallic shades, with fuller embellishment.
Engagement, dinner or Eid: A crepe silk 2-piece or a lighter chiffon 3-piece looks elegant without feeling overdressed.
Prices change with sales, so always check the product page for today's price. As a rough guide, regular prices in this collection run like this:
Crepe silk 2-piece suits: under Rs 6,000
Chiffon, raw silk, chambray katan and organza 3-piece suits: about Rs 12,000 to Rs 20,000
Paper katan, tissue, net and embellished sets: about Rs 17,000 to Rs 30,000
Heavy organza, net maxis and lehenga-style sets: above Rs 30,000, up to about Rs 49,000
Every outfit here is stitched, so size matters. Choose by bust and shoulders first, because sleeve length and hem are easier to alter than the fit across the chest. Before you order, check the product page for:

If anything is unclear, message customer care on WhatsApp at +92 317 1570725 before you place the order. To complete a look, add a chiffon dupatta, a camisole or inner, or trousers.
Always follow the care label. As a general rule, embroidered silk, organza, net and chiffon do best with dry cleaning. Store the outfit on a padded hanger or folded in muslin, keep perfume and hairspray off the fabric, and steam rather than iron over embroidery.

Formal dresses use richer fabrics and heavier embroidery, and suit weddings and receptions. Semi-formal dresses are lighter, with subtle embellishment, and suit dinners, engagements and family gatherings. For a small event, choose semi-formal. For a wedding function, choose formal.
Ready-to-wear, also called pret or readymade, means an outfit is fully stitched and finished in standard sizes. You can wear it as soon as it arrives, with no tailoring needed.
A sharara is a wide, flared bottom that falls in one continuous sweep, like a divided skirt. A gharara is fitted from the waist to the knee and flares out below a visible joint. Our frock sets use the sharara style.
At Sha Posh, crepe silk 2-piece formals start under Rs 6,000. Most 3-piece formal suits fall between roughly Rs 12,000 and Rs 30,000 at regular price, and heavy organza, net and lehenga-style sets cost more. Many styles are discounted, so check the product page.
